So after this weekends atomic dietary destruction, my gut finally seems to be on the road to recovery. My appetite has definitely been off, but luckily the cramping and bloating has ceased. Sorry TMI, but I am trying to get a point across. Put junk in, you get junk out! I've eaten completely paleo, except for a but of raw cheese and of course my protein shake. It is amazing how great I feel when I put nutritious food in my body!
I'm waiting in total anticipation for 13.4 to be posted. Each WOD has gotten progressively more challenging so its definitely nervous anticipation. I am extremely proud to report that I finally learned to do double unders (2 jumps per revolution). Now, if I could just get a kipping pullup!
The more I learn about integrative medicine, the more I realize there is so much more to know. I've been experimenting with a lot of supplements both with my patients, and with myself. I've really enjoyed being able to recommend herbal remedies, as opposed to putting people on medications. I'm finally planning to get my blood work done so I can get a good look at my cholesterol, vitamin d, and thyroid. I'm just not looking forward to fasting in order to do so. Heaven forbid I skip a meal! I will say I've been using some herbs for adrenal support, as well as taking vitamin d, and a probiotic. I would like to to kick it up a notch but I'll wait for my blood results.
I'm planning to head to CrossFit in a few minutes and I'm making cashew chicken for dinner :)
